The blue pigments in this shampoo remove unwanted orange and red tones, which can often appear when dyed brunette hair colour starts to fade, creating a richer, deeper brunette hair colour. The blue pigments will also remove orange tones in blonde hair, making it the perfect solution to creating those multi-tone effects in your balayage and ombre hair colours.
We know that coloured hair needs extra care, so this is a nourishing sulphate-free formula enriched with AquaPlex™ and inca inchi oil to repair damaged hair bonds and provide the extra nourishment coloured hair needs, leaving hair shiny, healthy and hydrated.
If you have balayage, ombre or highlighted brunette hair, use the shampoo and conditioner together in every other wash.

I’m over the moon with this product. I was abit skeptical at but, I am really impressed. It has cooler the brassy tones in my coloured hair, it’s left my hair feeling silky and soft, and the shine lasts without my hair feeling greasy.

Firstly the shampoo smells gorgeous, packaging and material is sturdy and very easy to use. Makes my hair smell good and feel super soft. I use this twice a week with the conditioner and it helps my dyed brunette hair stay intact. Would totally recommend.

This shampoo has been a godsend. It lavas up lovely and has left my hair silky soft. It feels in such good condition and feels easier to brush. I’ve been using it for two weeks and the results are amazing! My hair is really long and thick and gets knotty and frizzy but now It is less frizzy and looks curlier rather than just wavy and bushy like before as if it’s been fully restored and it also doesn’t look as greasy after a day of not washing, the shine lasts from wash to wash. It just looks and feels great. I am really pleased and would highly recommend. I also love the fact that it doesn’t contain sulphate.

Smells like marzipan, yummy… made my hair beautiful and shiny after one wash, ive used it on my dark brown hair, full of lovely oils to nourish your hair, it made my hair more vibrant, richer and deeper in love, it actually looked naturally brown, massive bonus becoz i cant get to the salon for colouring so this is a win win.. I have never used PRO:VOKE products before so was neautral when trying the product but it exceeds my expectations. This toning shampoo is amazing. I have dark brown hair but was feeling a bit dull and needed a boost. After using this shampoo it neautralised the redness and harsh tones in my hair. I’ve been bleaching my hair on and off for about 40 years so I wasn’t really surprised when I coloured my hair light brown and it didn’t turn out quite as expected. It definitely needed some TLC and this was what it got when I used this product. The bottle is easy to use in the shower and the smell is gorgeous. As well as bringing out the brown colour in all its’ glory, it also leaves it feeling so clean and fresh. No more brassiness, just beautiful colour.

I was a bit nervous using a blue shampoo but it’s great, my hair looks shiny. my natural brown shade looks bright and naturally highlighted. The shampoo has a pleasant aroma, it lathers up lots on the hair and washes out easily with no blue staining on hands or in shower.

This shampoo is amazing, so I had dyed red hair for about 5 years and about six months ago I decided to go chocolate brown, even after stripping the red out I have always had brassy tones in my hair, until this shampoo it has gotten rid of all the brassy tones and left my hair a cool chocolate colour as I wanted and it smells great and leaves my hair looking so healthy, this is a new must have for me.

I was really excited to try this shampoo as I felt my hair needed a bit of help. The colour had turned brassy and I’m not able to have a re colour done anytime soon. The packaging is really nice – lovely colour bottle, nice size too. I used it as I would normally use a shampoo, concentrating more on the tips as that’s where the brassy ness is. I can honestly say I am really impressed with the results of using this for about 3-4 times. My hair is unrecognisable….the colour is a rich brown shade, leaving my hair feeling soft after each wash! Highly recommend this toning shampoo for anyone with brassy tones in their brunette hair, you won’t be disappointed!

I have used this about 5 times now, and I am really impressed by the lovely colour my hair has become. My hair looks richer and healthier than ever before. It is really easy to use, just lather it up and leave five minutes before washing off. You wouldn’t think a blue shampoo could make my brown hair look vibrant and given a better colour than ever before without using a hair dye, but it has and I love it. A great product to have. So I have ombré hair and always struggle finding a toning shampoo/conditioner that will work on my hair. This is a complete game changer the blue is great idea for helping to boost too many warm tones through the brown but also refreshing my dull ombré. The shampoo is a perfect clean blue and does not leave a stain on the hair like others I’ve tried before. Lathers up great and smells amazing! The conditioner is silky smooth a little thinner then my usual one but gives all the nourishment you’d expect. Great find!

This is the first blue shampoo I’ve tried on my dyed brunette hair. I wasn’t really sure what to expect but I like it! The scent is pleasant but not overwhelming like lots are. The great thing is it’s sulphate-free (which is not easy to find) but this means it can be harder to work up a lather, so requires a little more shampoo, but it does what it says on the tin (so to speak!). I like it!

I was a bit sceptical using toning shampoo from home but decided to give a go. I was scared that it will leave my hair blue but it didn’t and I’m so happy I gave a go. shampoo leathers very well and has a pleasant fragrance. the blue colour washes off well but it left my hand tiny stained blueish colour.it removed most of brassy yellows and reds from hair just after the first wash and I’m looking forward to seeing how it will be after a few washes.

I have been using the Provoke illuminex toning blue shampoo for brunettes for the last couple of weeks and have noticed a real difference in the colouring of my hair. It neutralises the warm tones in my hair and the colour appearance is much deeper and richer. My hair feels well hydrated after use and soft and appears to be a bit more smoother in appearance. As a vegan friendly and sulphate free product it will have a wide audience appeal price wise it is competitive with other high street brands and is easily available and is definitely one I would recommend.

I didn’t know about the existence of a blue shampoo specially made for brunettes, until I discovered this product. And I can say it really made a difference. The packaging is basic, but quite discreet, so I could easily carry it with me on a weekend trip. I was happy to see it has UV filters, it is sulphate free (although it had salts and I imagine silicones too) and the most important part, it neutralises orange tones for a great rich hair colour. My hair is dark brown and after just one wash, it really felt that the pigments restored the shine of my colour, it was almost like getting a retouch colouring. My hair did not feel dull and I really appreciated the fragrance. It has a milky, chocolate perfume that stays in your hair. The only downsize was the fact that it left my hair a little dry on the ends. My hair is usually pretty brittle, so I was expecting this in a way. Overall it was a great surprise and I will definitely be continuing to use it.

PRO:VOKE Toning Blue Shampoo 200ml is very good. I first used it and didnt really notice a difference however after a few uses i can see a difference with my hair colour. Warmer brown, less orange tones and looks healthier, glossy and silky smooth. Prouct is very easy to use and bottle design makes less mess and overall very pleased with results.

I have used the purple in the past when I went from my natural brown to blonde, and it was a great addition to keeping out those brassy tones. When I saw this I thought it would be great for my now brown hair! After a few washes I can notice that the tone of my hair has definitely changed and I quite like it now! The shampoo is a lovely blue colour and it smells very nice too, and it lathers up very nicely. Teamed up with the PRO:VOKE conditioner for better results I am honestly happy with the results so far. There really aren’t many blue shampoos out there and they tend to be expensive, I got this to help my hair previously bleached hair which had an ash brown put over it during lockdown. This really helped to lighten the blonder parts and bring out a nice colour in the darker toned bits, Looks lovely and no orangey colour now. Can’t wait to get back to the hairdressers but for now this is great!

This shampoo is great and actually works. I noticed a difference in just a couple of washes and the orange brassy tones had been significantly reduced and the brunette was much glossier. My hair feels soft and restored but I also love that it is sulphate free so that my hair is not being stripped of its natural oils. I was also pleased that it is vegan friendly.

This is a great shampoo. I used it on my dark brown dyed hair and I have noticed a significant difference, it has made my hair look more vibrant, richer and much more deeper hair colour. As I have not been able to visit my salon, this shampoo has been great for my hair as not only does it help my colour look much better, with the inca inchi oil included in the ingredients it has also made my hair look shiny and hydrated. What a game changer this product is it only helped relax my hair colour and became manageable after the first use. The smell is good and not strong like other blue shampoos I’ve used in the past. This is the first time I have used this shampoo and it made my hair feel so soft and silky. It smelled so good and the whole bathroom smelled great. It’s a brand I would continue buying and would recommend to anyone especially my friends and family. I got this a few weeks ago and have used it 2/3 times and I can definitely see a difference in the tone of my hair. It didn’t take effect the first time but my hair is now noticeably less brassy/red and closer to the colour I actually want it to be. I have tried this shampoo 3 or 4 times now on my hair and it certainly has toned down the brassiness of my brunette hair. Upon opening the product I found the smell not dissimilar to marzipan and quite pleasant. I found that I only had to use a small amount to get a good lather and after rinsing found my hair soft and manageable. After drying I found my hair to look more vibrant and refreshed and definitely looking better and much more healthy

I didn’t get as good results as I would have liked to. It probably wouldnt be my first choice but that doesn’t mean it wouldn’t be the same for others. I liked elements of the product, shampoo worked up a nice lather and didn’t need too much product to achieve that. I prefer to have more of a scent in my shampoo too.

I really love the smell of this product, being bright blue I was not expecting the floral soft sent. I usually have to dye my hair due to greys but I have been able to push my dye back because my hair kept its brunette colour longer. I noticed a nice rich tone to my colour and it was really glossy after using this for a few weeks. I did notice my hair was a little frizzer than normal with this shampoo so have had to up my smoothing cream. Would not hesitate to buy this again to reduce my dying.

My hair has been bleached and dyed in the past so it was getting lighter at the ends so was showing a variety of different colours in my hair (not a good look) I started using the toning blue shampoo about 2 weeks ago, First application I found it very drying, as I was applying the shampoo it felt like it was stripping it, my hair felt extremely dry but I think this is becausing it was doing its job and let’s face it it was getting through months of hair colour! There wasn’t much of a fragrance, more off a cleansing smell but not at all chemically. I only washed it once as I was a little concerned at how dry it felt. I applied conditioner which thankfully added moisture back and I felt a little more relaxed. My hair dried and styled easily and had a nice shine. I noticed a difference in the colour after about the third wash, the light hair had begun to darken and blend in with the rest of my hair. Today after 2 weeks my hair is all back to one colour and its so natural looking and has a lovely healthy shine, My hair actually feels clean after every wash!

My hair colour can lose its depth quite quickly after colouring and I found this product made the softer tones last longer. It’s easy to use and gave the same result as my regular shampoo. I was worried it would leave my hair flat or oily but it didn’t. Only downside is it doesn’t foam as much as regular shampoo but other than that a great product to keep colour lasting longer.

I’ve been dying my hair for as long as I can remember because I really don’t like my natural hair colour, it’s dark brown with brassy tones.. I’ve recently had a baby and also have an 18 month old so I barely even get time to wash my hair anymore, never mind dye it haha!.. I figured I’d try and get used to my natural hair colour so I decided to give this a try, see if I could get rid of the ginger tones! First thing I noticed (other than the amazing electic blue colour lol) was the smell, it smells sooooo good, very nutty and fresh, kinda like you would imagine a tropical holiday.. I only had to use a small amount as it lathers up really well and my hair felt clean and fresh after, only negative I can think of is that after 2 days my hair felt very greasy, not sure whether it was the shampoo or the fact that the the pregnancy hormones that make your hair feel amazing are going away 🙁

I wash my hair twice with the shampoo and it gives a real clean feeling, the shampoo washes out perfectly and doesn’t stick to my hair. I was a sucker for purple shampoo for blonde hair but this blue shampoo is amazing for brunette hair! It’s a shampoo I’ll be living off for a while now. It does make hair feel a bit like straw when it’s wet but it does dry out absolutely fine. Definitely think it would pair nicely with a conditioner. I have been using this shampoo with the toning blue conditioner for around 2 weeks now. After just 3 applications I can see a difference in colour. The shampoo lathers well and just a small amount goes a long way. I really enjoy the scent of his product and find that it lasts all day. I think going forward I will use the product may be just twice a week because I find using it more often has started to dry my hair a little. Overall its a good product.

I’m a brunette with colour treated balayage hair. I’ve ashy blonde highlights and they do have a tendency to go copper or even brassy, especially with lockdown which means I’m unable to get colour and cut every 7 weeks! I tried this shampoo to try and keep the ash blonde alive and tone down the harsh brassy and copper tones. I really want to maintain a cool hair colour rather than warm. If this sounds like you, then this product is an amazing choice! The packaging allows you to see the ultra bright product in the bottle. It is extremely pigmented – do not get this on your clothes or tiles and if you do, wash your tiles immediately! It will stain clothes. It’s vegan friendly which is great and silicone free. It says that it has a ‘sulfate free system’ but I am interested to know if that means that the product itself is sulfate free. The word ‘system’ to me implies that it may not be so they need to word it differently? I’m unsure what this means. Results – it worked. I would only use once a week maybe once a fortnight, depending on the condition of your hair as it was a little drying. You certainly couldn’t use it every time because of this. I consulted with my hairdresser before using and she said it looked and read as though it would be useful to my coloured hair. The fragrance is non offensive. The product did relieve some of the more coppery tones in my hair. For the price, it’s definitely worth investing in! I’d recommend to a friend.

Have used this shampoo and conditioner every other day and have not noticed much difference to the colour tones of my hair. However, the smell of both products is divine and the conditioner leaves my hair feeling fresh and nicely hydrated.
Shiny hair! –
If you have dry dull hair this is great for bringing out the shine, the product goes on well and isn’t very foamy, can see it instantly getting soaked in to the hair through and is nice to massage on the scalp. The smell is gorgeous and makes you want to keep it on for longer. Personally I find these products usually quite drying but this one exceeded expectations and one that I would buy again.

I had high expectations of using in order to cover some grey roots showing through. The colour is very blue and I made sure to not leave on my hands too long as didn’t want stains. It went on easily and there wasn’t a massive lather but went through my hair nicely. After leaving on for a few minutes washed off as directed. It rinsed well and left my hair smooth. My hair felt nice when dry and although I didn’t notice a change to my grey hairs it did leave my hair in a nice condition. Hopefully after a few uses it might help the greys but it isn’t a bad shampoo so will continue to use.

I’m not very keen on this shampoo it very hard to get through hair which means I have to use more, and it made my hair feel very dry and greasy even after my hair was dry it still felt dry and not very nice. I can’t really see a difference to my hair thou which I am disappointed about. The scent is amazing thou smells tropical and the smell stays all day and is so strong. I was worried the shampoo was going to stain my hands but it didn’t. I like the fact it’s vegan aswell

My hair is a really dark brown naturally and I get bored of it quite easy so like to mix up the colour now and then. Tried this out as I thought this may me beneficial to the condition of my hair but can’t say I noticed that much difference. Although it left my hair feeling a bit more soft, it didn’t really do much for the colour. I’ve been using this for a couple of weeks and, whilst it leaves my hair soft, I don’t feel it has made much difference to my hair tone. I have mid-brown hair and it is maybe a little richer but not significantly. It leaves your hair feeling silky and soft, though, which I like a lot, but so do a lot of other shampoos. Perhaps I just need a couple more weeks of using it to see more of a difference but right now, I don’t see much of a point in getting this for the toning alone.

Tried this shampoo to help liven up my dry ends and give a bit of shine to it, it’s very blue and did dye my hands slightly when tried it so used gloves second time round, can’t say it surprised me really hair still dry and struggled with the comb after.

I have dyed dark brown hair and was sceptical to use this product as i didnt want it to lighten my hair or anything. I do have some greys coming through which is the reason for the dying of it. When I first used this i did a very quick wash and my hair did look very shiny and clean and it did bring the colour out. I dont know if i would use this all the time but definately good in between getting to the salon for dye!

This shampoo has been a godsend. It lavas up lovely and has left my hair silky soft. It feels in such good condition and feels easier to brush. I’ve been using it for two weeks and the results are amazing! My hair is really long and thick and gets knotty and frizzy but now It is less frizzy and looks curlier rather than just wavy and bushy like before as if it’s been fully restored and it also doesn’t look as greasy after a day of not washing, the shine lasts from wash to wash. It just looks and feels great. I am really pleased and would highly recommend. I also love the fact that it doesn’t contain sulphate.

I’ve been bleaching my hair on and off for about 40 years so I wasn’t really surprised when I coloured my hair light brown and it didn’t turn out quite as expected. So I have ombré hair and always struggle finding a toning shampoo/conditioner that will work on my hair. This is a complete game changer the blue is great idea for helping to boost too many warm tones through the brown but also refreshing my dull ombré. This is the first blue shampoo I’ve tried on my dyed brunette hair. I wasn’t really sure what to expect but I like it! The scent is pleasant but not overwhelming like lots are. The great thing is it’s sulphate-free (which is not easy to find) but this means it can be harder to work up a lather, so requires a little more shampoo, but it does what it says on the tin (so to speak!). I like it!

I was scared that it will leave my hair blue but it didn’t and I’m so happy I gave a go. shampoo leathers very well and has a pleasant fragrance. the blue colour washes off well but it left my hand tiny stained blueish colour.it removed most of brassy yellows and reds from hair just after the first wash and I’m looking forward to seeing how it will be after a few washes.

I have been using the Provoke illuminex toning blue shampoo for brunettes for the last couple of weeks and have noticed a real difference in the colouring of my hair. It neutralises the warm tones in my hair and the colour appearance is much deeper and richer. My hair feels well hydrated after use and soft and appears to be a bit more smoother in appearance. As a vegan friendly and sulphate free product it will have a wide audience appeal price wise it is competitive with other high street brands and is easily available and is definitely one I would recommend.

I didn’t know about the existence of a blue shampoo specially made for brunettes, until I discovered this product. And I can say it really made a difference. The packaging is basic, but quite discreet, so I could easily carry it with me on a weekend trip. I was happy to see it has UV filters, it is sulphate free (although it had salts and I imagine silicones too) and the most important part, it neutralises orange tones for a great rich hair colour. My hair is dark brown and after just one wash, it really felt that the pigments restored the shine of my colour, it was almost like getting a retouch colouring. My hair did not feel dull and I really appreciated the fragrance. It has a milky, chocolate perfume that stays in your hair. The only downsize was the fact that it left my hair a little dry on the ends. My hair is usually pretty brittle, so I was expecting this in a way. Overall it was a great surprise and I will definitely be continuing to use it.

I have 2 colours in my hair Ash brown and red and this shampoo is brilliant one to use in the bath while your sitting there as it needs be in 3-5 minutes but sulphate free so keeps your colour in longer prevents fading and bonus smells lovely

I have used the purple in the past when I went from my natural brown to blonde, and it was a great addition to keeping out those brassy tones. When I saw this I thought it would be great for my now brown hair! After a few washes I can notice that the tone of my hair has definitely changed and I quite like it now! My hair feels soft and clean also, which is nice, as sometimes these dry my hair out too much.

I tried this shampoo on my brown coloured hair , the first impression is that it smells gorgeous ! I left it a few minutes for a better results and then I rinced it , I’ve used the conditioner and left for 10 minutes ,after drying my hair the results is stunning I can’t see orange bits they disappeared ! I have used this shampoo by PRO:VOKE Toning Blue several times now so that I can see the results better. The shampoo is a lovely blue colour and it smells very nice too, and it lathers up very nicely. Teamed up with the PRO:VOKE conditioner for better results I am honestly happy with the results so far. I was not expecting to see much of a difference but after several washes my brown tones now have a much richer tone of brown and my hair is left soft and smells lovely. I will keep using this duo.

There really aren’t many blue shampoos out there and they tend to be expensive, I got this to help my hair previously bleached hair which had an ash brown put over it during lockdown. This really helped to lighten the blonder parts and bring out a nice colour in the darker toned bits, Looks lovely and no orangey colour now. Can’t wait to get back to the hairdressers but for now this is great!

I have tried this shampoo 3 or 4 times now on my hair and it certainly has toned down the brassiness of my brunette hair. Upon opening the product I found the smell not dissimilar to marzipan and quite pleasant. I found that I only had to use a small amount to get a good lather and after rinsing found my hair soft and manageable. After drying I found my hair to look more vibrant and refreshed and definitely looking better and much more healthy

I really love the smell of this product, being bright blue I was not expecting the floral soft sent. I usually have to dye my hair due to greys but I have been able to push my dye back because my hair kept its brunette colour longer. I noticed a nice rich tone to my colour and it was really glossy after using this for a few weeks. I did notice my hair was a little frizzer than normal with this shampoo so have had to up my smoothing cream. Would not hesitate to buy this again to reduce my dying.
My hair is back all one colour!! –
My hair has been bleached and dyed in the past so it was getting lighter at the ends so was showing a variety of different colours in my hair (not a good look) I started using the toning blue shampoo about 2 weeks ago, First application I found it very drying, as I was applying the shampoo it felt like it was stripping it, my hair felt extremely dry but I think this is becausing it was doing its job and let’s face it it was getting through months of hair colour! There wasn’t much of a fragrance, more off a cleansing smell but not at all chemically. I only washed it once as I was a little concerned at how dry it felt. I applied conditioner which thankfully added moisture back and I felt a little more relaxed. My hair dried and styled easily and had a nice shine. I noticed a difference in the colour after about the third wash, the light hair had begun to darken and blend in with the rest of my hair. Today after 2 weeks my hair is all back to one colour and its so natural looking and has a lovely healthy shine, My hair actually feels clean after every wash!

My hair colour can lose its depth quite quickly after colouring and I found this product made the softer tones last longer. It’s easy to use and gave the same result as my regular shampoo. I was worried it would leave my hair flat or oily but it didn’t. Only downside is it doesn’t foam as much as regular shampoo but other than that a great product to keep colour lasting longer.

I’ve recently had a baby and also have an 18 month old so I barely even get time to wash my hair anymore, never mind dye it haha!.. I figured I’d try and get used to my natural hair colour so I decided to give this a try, see if I could get rid of the ginger tones! First thing I noticed (other than the amazing electic blue colour lol) was the smell, it smells sooooo good, very nutty and fresh, kinda like you would imagine a tropical holiday.. I only had to use a small amount as it lathers up really well and my hair felt clean and fresh after, only negative I can think of is that after 2 days my hair felt very greasy, not sure whether it was the shampoo or the fact that the the pregnancy hormones that make your hair feel amazing are going away 🙁

I have been using this shampoo with the toning blue conditioner for around 2 weeks now. After just 3 applications I can see a difference in colour. The shampoo lathers well and just a small amount goes a long way. I really enjoy the scent of his product and find that it lasts all day. I’m a brunette with colour treated balayage hair. I’ve ashy blonde highlights and they do have a tendency to go copper or even brassy, especially with lockdown which means I’m unable to get colour and cut every 7 weeks! I tried this shampoo to try and keep the ash blonde alive and tone down the harsh brassy and copper tones. I really want to maintain a cool hair colour rather than warm. If this sounds like you, then this product is an amazing choice! The packaging allows you to see the ultra bright product in the bottle. It is extremely pigmented – do not get this on your clothes or tiles and if you do, wash your tiles immediately! It will stain clothes. It’s vegan friendly which is great and silicone free. It says that it has a ‘sulfate free system’ but I am interested to know if that means that the product itself is sulfate free. The word ‘system’ to me implies that it may not be so they need to word it differently? I’m unsure what this means. Results – it worked. I would only use once a week maybe once a fortnight, depending on the condition of your hair as it was a little drying. You certainly couldn’t use it every time because of this. I consulted with my hairdresser before using and she said it looked and read as though it would be useful to my coloured hair. The fragrance is non offensive. The product did relieve some of the more coppery tones in my hair. For the price, it’s definitely worth investing in! I’d recommend to a friend.

Shiny hair! –
If you have dry dull hair this is great for bringing out the shine, the product goes on well and isn’t very foamy, can see it instantly getting soaked in to the hair through and is nice to massage on the scalp. The smell is gorgeous and makes you want to keep it on for longer. Personally I find these products usually quite drying but this one exceeded expectations and one that I would buy again.

I had high expectations of using in order to cover some grey roots showing through. The colour is very blue and I made sure to not leave on my hands too long as didn’t want stains. It went on easily and there wasn’t a massive lather but went through my hair nicely. After leaving on for a few minutes washed off as directed. It rinsed well and left my hair smooth. My hair felt nice when dry and although I didn’t notice a change to my grey hairs it did leave my hair in a nice condition. Hopefully after a few uses it might help the greys but it isn’t a bad shampoo so will continue to use.

I’m not very keen on this shampoo it very hard to get through hair which means I have to use more, and it made my hair feel very dry and greasy even after my hair was dry it still felt dry and not very nice. Tried this out as I thought this may me beneficial to the condition of my hair but can’t say I noticed that much difference. I’ve been using this for a couple of weeks and, whilst it leaves my hair soft, I don’t feel it has made much difference to my hair tone. I have mid-brown hair and it is maybe a little richer but not significantly. It leaves your hair feeling silky and soft, though, which I like a lot, but so do a lot of other shampoos. Perhaps I just need a couple more weeks of using it to see more of a difference but right now, I don’t see much of a point in getting this for the toning alone.

Tried this shampoo to help liven up my dry ends and give a bit of shine to it, it’s very blue and did dye my hands slightly when tried it so used gloves second time round, can’t say it surprised me really hair still dry and struggled with the comb after.

I have dyed dark brown hair and was sceptical to use this product as i didnt want it to lighten my hair or anything. I do have some greys coming through which is the reason for the dying of it. When I first used this i did a very quick wash and my hair did look very shiny and clean and it did bring the colour out. I dont know if i would use this all the time but definately good in between getting to the salon for dye!

What effect will purple shampoo have on brown hair?
Purple shampoo on brunette hair with highlights, or coloured hair, can be a very effective toner.
How? Well, over time, lightened sections of brunette hair can turn brassy and the colour fades. This can occur especially in balayage or ombre hair, or if the hair has been dyed multiple times before. The hair can often become dry and damaged and reveal the underlying pigments which are warmer and more yellow/orange in hue. Of course, some people will like this tone, however, if you don’t, purple shampoo on brunette hair can be your saviour to take out any unwanted warm tones in your hair.
The way it works is all down to the science of the colour wheel. As purple is opposite to yellow, this counteracts the brassiness and neutralises it to maintain your colour’s radiance for longer. It helps to prevent that dreaded colour fade, whilst emphasising the shine and vibrance of surrounding darker hairs. How to use purple shampoo on brown hair
Our Touch of Silver Brightening Shampoo should be applied to wet hair and massaged in before leaving on for five minutes. Brunettes should use our brightening shampoo specifically on the lightened sections of hair. For many, this will mean applying silver shampoo directly to the lower lengths of hair, targeting the brassy sections.
After five minutes has passed, rinse with cool water to ensure cuticles are closed and locks in the product.
Next, smooth over a generous amount of the Touch Of Silver Intensive Conditioner – ideal for use after the Brightening Shampoo to regain hair health and balance. Leaving this on your hair for 3 to 10 minutes will nourish hair and intensively target dry and damaged strands. It has a rich and luxurious formula which improves your hairs condition after just one use.
Again, rinse hair thoroughly, then towel dry and gently detangle.
